2008 Bomber Rules
*Cannot race outside your class. If you race in another class two weeks you
cannot race in the lower class again.
*You cannot race in two classes the same night.
This is an entry-level class of racing. All parts of the vehicle must be
stock for your vehicle. If your vehicle did not come with a certain item,
you MAY NOT use them on your vehicle.
1. Safety
A. All glass must be removed. expanded metal is approved.
B. All upholstery must be removed, except dash and components.
C. Helmets and full fire suit (top and bottom) required at all times.
D. Roll cage must have roll bar behind driver's head of four point roll
cage. Minimum of two (2) bars in driver’s door. Bars may not extend beyond
drivers compartment.
E. All cars must have a five point approved safety harness.
F. All cars must have a fire extinguisher with a gage in reach of the
driver.
G. All cars must have bar behind the seat for support. Racing seats are
optional, but must mount to roll cage.
H. All cars must have a window net.
I. Drivers compartment must be sealed from trunk area.
J. No racing radios
2. Body
A.1969 or newer
B. No Camaros, Mustangs, Firebirds, Novas or GT type cars.
C. 108" minimum wheelbase
D. All exterior chrome, headlights, and molding must be removed.
E. All doors must be chained or welded shut
F. Car body must be completely stock. May have 7” spoiler.
G. Exhaust pipe must run past driver.
H. Hood and trunk latches may be disabled and replaced with hood pins.
I. No bracing of any kind.
J. Doors may be hulled for roll cage but not excessively, leave hinges and
latches.
K. One bar allowed in front of radiator only. Same width as frame.
3. Engine and Drive Train
A. Engines and all components must be for make, model and year of car.
B. Maximum allowable compression 165 pounds
C. Camshaft max. lift .435 at the valve. Max cam lobe lift .290 Max
duration at .050 212*
D. Transmission and rear end must be for make, model and year of car and
must remain stock.
E. Air conditioner components are required but may remove belts.
F. Engine, transmission and rear end must be in stock location.
G. Max 350 CI
H. Carburetor - Stock quadrajet or Rochester. No modifications allowed. No
fuel injection allowed.
4. Suspension
A. All shocks, springs and suspension parts must be stock for your car, in
stock location. No racing or aftermarket shocks allowed.
B. Large studs may be used with one-inch (1") lug nuts. (HIGHLY
RECOMMENDED)
5. Tires and wheels
A. Only 205-235, 70 or 75 DOT street tires. 14" or 15" or Red Dot
Towel City.
B. Any 8" maximum width wheel. No beadlocks.
C. No speed rated tire higher than T
6. Fuel Cell
A. Must use stock gas tank or fuel cell.
B. Fuel cell must be securely mounted in center of trunk in steel
container.
C. A single nerf bar is required behind fuel tank
